Professor Carolyn Mair PhD is a behavioural consultant, fashion psychologist and founder of consultancy psychology.fashion. Carolyn consults with retail, NGOs, educators and the public, providing behavioural insights, bespoke training, short-courses, masterclasses and workshops, mentoring and career coaching on the psychology of fashion and related topics. The importance of establishing an emotive connection with customers and understanding their behaviours has never been for important for survival of brands. Who is Professor Carolyn Mair?

Professor Carolyn Mair PhD, is a Chartered Psychologist, Fellow of the British Psychological Society and current holder of the Society's Distinguished Contributions to Psychology Education Award. Prior to establishing her consultancy, psychology.fashion in 2017, she was full Professor of Psychology for Fashion at London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London, where she created the Psychology Department and developed the world-leading Masters courses in applied psychology of fashion. She has published broadly and is regularly a interviewed and featured on TV, international radio, press and fashion media including BBC World News TV, ITV, Sky News, BBC Radio 4, The Guardian, Times, Telegraph, Daily Mail, Independent, New York Times, Boston Globe, Sydney Morning Herald, Elle. Vogue, Harpers Bazaar and Grazia. Her book, The Psychology of Fashion, was among Routledge's top 10 best-selling Psychology books of 2018.
