The role

You will own, optimise and manage all digital marketing channels directing customers to the business and helping it grow.

Eventually, you'll be responsible for building, managing and motivating the NYC Color growth team - and defining their activities.

Your analysis of the things you learn through interacting with customers will be integrated back into the product, the brand and the propositions - and shape the business as a whole.

Day-To-Day

-Manage PPC and digital activity across NYC Color, including strategy, planning, tracking, reporting, analysis and optimisation to ensure delivery against specific KPIs

-Identifying opportunities to improve relative performance and scale growth via a mix of new channels and techniques as well as helping to refine our attribution methodology

-Work with the development and product teams to help with any A/B tests where appropriate as well as coming up with ideas on how we can make things better

-Build a culture of experimentation and test-and-learn workflow with your team to help find results quickly and efficiently

-Support content marketing and organic social media efforts through providing behavioural insight, customer interest and targeting data

-Keeping abreast of the latest marketing technologies and looking opportunities for improvement in NYC Color’s growth

-Responsibility for the significant online media budget across PPC, Display, Affiliate and SEO activity

-Define requirements and structure a team (including designing workflows) to deliver long-term growth and increase profits

-Conduct tests of new channels, targeting features, and capabilities to continually evolve and optimize paid media efforts

-Continually come up with new experiments to make us famous and help us acquire new customers

Requirements

-Significant hands-on experience and a proven track record in running successful PPC campaigns - bonus points for ecommerce experience

-Strong numeracy and data analysis skills and passion for using data to improve campaign performance

-Curiosity and drive to understand consumer behaviour (bonus points for an understanding of the brand and/or behavioural economics)

-Ability to work in a fast-paced constantly evolving startup environment, whilst being able to prioritise tasks effectively

-Advanced Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet knowledge

Our company

NYC Color is a platform to allow any woman to be colour-matched to the best products currently available on the market, in a brand agnostic manner. Additionally, it will also match women to content that is representative of their unique skin and allow them to achieve their perfect look.

This platform is geared largely to women of colour - we feel that the makeup market for this demographic hasn’t evolved much since the 1980s, with rare exceptions such as Fenty Beauty by Rihanna validating the need to have a more diverse makeup landscape.

We are working hard to build the tools to help users colour match utilising only their phone and are rapidly expanding our team to make our dream a reality.

We are at the beginning of the journey, having just raised our first round of funding, and inked a partnership deal with the world’s 3rd’s largest makeup manufacturer.
