We're looking for a Marketing Star to lead our B2C customer acquisition efforts and contribute to our B2B strategy for our London market.

The Marketing Lead role is very demanding and requires a high degree of talent, guts, and hustle. Chariot is looking for a creative-minded person who knows the landscape of Greater London well and can develop and execute strategic, data-driven campaigns. This person will manage communications with new and existing riders, maintain Chariot’s social presence in our London market, form strategic partnerships, manage agencies and vendors, develop relationships with local companies, influencers, and organizations, and execute impactful activations.

HOW YOU WIN

Identify new ways to get the Chariot experience in front of new users:

- Manage all local communications, media and PR outreach

- Develop impactful brand and event partnerships, campaigns and activations

- Identify and engage with community and brand advocates

- Analyse marketing initiatives and measure ROI

- Spread the Chariot brand through creating exciting social media content

- Manage relationships with vendors, including field marketing and advertising

- Manage marketing budget for London campaigns and activations

- Do anything it takes to win

NECESSARY SKILLS

- Undergraduate degree from a strong university

- 4-5 years of working experience

- Strong ability to multitask and manage competing priorities

- Considered an influencer amongst friends and in the community

- Solid writing background; experience blogging and/or editing (grammar buffs wanted)

- Understanding of email marketing, digital marketing, influencer marketing, and paid search and social a plus

- Exhibits the perfect mix of creativity and analytical ability. Some basic analytical skills are a must in order to measure the impact of your efforts. SQL experience a plus

- A charismatic personality that people are naturally attracted to

- Comfortable with public speaking

- Entrepreneurial attitude with a get-sh*t-done attitude

- Startup experience is a plus

- Based in London, UK

Founded in 2014 in SF, Chariot has expanded to Austin, Seattle and New York providing tens of thousands of rides per week. The company participated in Y Combinator's Winter 2015 batch and was acquired by Ford Smart Mobility in September 2016. As a cornerstone of Ford's urban mobility strategy, Chariot has the mandate and resources to scale its concept worldwide.

Chariot's mission is to become the world's first sustainable mass transit service by crowdsourcing a network of commuter shuttle routes that provides a fast, reliable and affordable service using new Ford Transit 14-passenger vans. When a critical mass of future riders 'vote' for a particular route, Chariot launches its service, typically between popular residential and work areas — as well as transit hubs like commuter rail stations, ferry terminals and bus depots — providing commutes in half the time as public transit and a fraction the cost of ridesharing. Chariot’s vision is to eliminate chaos and congestion by providing communities the most valuable and sustainable mobility experience.
